New Rochelle High School

When you’re watching the Super Bowl, also watch for a Verizon ad – because 2007 New Rochelle High School graduate Ben Morejon (at right in the photo) helped create it. Morejon is a creative director; the ad features comedian Jim Carrey in his famous film role in “The Cable Guy.” Morejon and a copywriter colleague came up with the idea for the ad. Morejon was flown to Los Angeles to oversee the directing of the commercial, and he spent numerous hours editing and presenting the final ad. His creative roots were nurtured by New Rochelle High art teachers Amanda Tarantino, Scott Seaboldt, Moira McCaul, and Michael Fry. Be sure to keep an eye out for the ad this Super Bowl Sunday!
