The Jefferson Foreign Language in the Elementary School (FLES) program was invited to perform a song at the Westchester Coalition of Italian American Organizations' Proclamation Ceremony last month honoring all Italian teachers and students of Italian in Westchester.
Appropriately, the students performed “È La Mia Scuola” (It’s My School) at the October 27 event held at Eastchester High School as part of Italian Heritage and Culture Month honoring the achievements and contributions of Italian immigrants and their descendants living in the United States.
